Located on the top floor of a 1900 heritage building, the Maria Rosetti apartment is a dialogue between history and modern living. The intervention transforms a once compartmentalized structure into an open, luminous home where each detail reflects a sense of quiet balance.
The project preserves the essence of the original architecture while introducing a refined, contemporary aesthetic. Arched corridors, generous ceiling heights, and restored textures meet clean lines, bespoke furniture, and modern lighting. The result is an interior that feels both timeless and functional.
The color palette relies on neutral and warm tones, beige, ivory, and sand, complemented by subtle contrasts of teal cabinetry and dark metal accents. These combinations define a calm yet expressive atmosphere. The cherry blossom mural, present in both the living area and the bathroom, becomes a visual link throughout the apartment, adding softness and continuity.
Every space was designed to serve daily life with discretion: the dining area opens to the living room, the kitchen integrates seamlessly through its color rhythm, and the bathroom extends the sense of comfort through natural light and tactile finishes.
This project stands as proof that tradition and modernity can coexist, not by opposition but through continuity, a living space that honors the building’s past while embracing the comfort and clarity of contemporary design.
